Sorrows End

β€œFor many years I have been reading Shakespeare sonnets and committing them to memory. During the pandemic and lock down of 2020 when all my public performances were cancelled I began setting some of these sonnets to music.  It was then that it dawned on me that Shakespeare had faced a similar dilemma.  When = London theaters were closed to public performances due to the outbreak of the plague in 1594, he returned to Stratford-on-Avon and took to writing sonnets.”
